Stephanie Beckett is a K-12 Teacher who delights in helping all students reach their fullest potentials in the most fun way possible! Brain research shows that the more fun you are having, the faster you learn! Her original education and teacher certification was in Secondary Social Studies (Grades 5-12), followed by a Master of Arts in Teaching, Elementary Education (Grades K-6). She has taught all ages and grades from preschool through High School in Public Schools, Private Schools, personal tutoring, and Homeschool Groups for almost 30 years. A graduate of Stanton College Preparatory School and a winner of the national 1988 Parade Magazine Essay Contest, she excels in Writing and Composition. The well-roundedness of her scholarship is supported by her lifetime, invitation-only membership in The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi shortly after entering college. Phi Kappa Phi was established in 1897 to recognize and encourage superior scholarship without restriction as to area of study and promote “the unity and democracy of education.” She teaches any and all subjects K-12 and tutors college courses. Additionally, she teaches group classes for various venues by request. Prior classes include Middle and High School Composition (IEW), Physical Science Laboratory (8th Gr.), Reading and Writing (SWR) at the Elementary Level and for the post-undergraduate-level TOEFL Examination, Chemistry I, Apologia General Science with Lab Experiments (7th Gr.). Private tutoring highlights also include every level of Math through Algebra and Geometry, Biology I, English 101, and beginning reading. She also consults with parents to provide help with homeschooling, curriculum choices, and provides standardized testing via the Iowa brand of standardized assessments.

Katherine Beckett is a gifted, mostly self-taught artist and writer who brings creativity, patience, and enthusiasm to every tutoring session. As an assistant tutor for several years, she has a special talent for connecting with students and helping them build strong foundational skills in a supportive, encouraging way. Katherine excels at working with Emerging Readers, teaching phonics, fluency, and a love of books. She is also highly effective in Grammar, Elementary Math, Middle & High School Biology and Chemistry, as well as Art. She offers both one-on-one art tutoring and group art classes designed specifically for Elementary and Middle School students, where she nurtures creativity, technique, and self-expression through hands-on projects. Currently finishing her high school career through Dual-Enrollment courses (and almost 18), Katherine balances advanced academics with her artistic and literary passions. Her fresh perspective as a student herself allows her to relate especially well to learners who need a little extra guidance or a new way of looking at things. Whether guiding a young reader through their first chapter books, breaking down grammar rules, demystifying elementary math concepts, exploring science topics, or inspiring young artists to create, Katherine brings warmth, creativity, and dedication to every learner she serves.
