Stephanie
Lead Tutor

Stephanie A. Beckett, M.Ed., is a passionate K-12 educator who delights in helping every student discover and reach their fullest potential through engaging, joyful learning. Backed by brain research showing that the more fun students have, the faster and deeper they learn, she creates dynamic lessons that spark curiosity and build lasting confidence. With nearly 30 years of experience, Stephanie has taught every age and grade level—from preschool through high school—in public schools, private schools, homeschool co-ops, and one-on-one tutoring. Her original teacher certification was in Secondary Social Studies (Grades 5–12), followed by a Master of Arts in Teaching with a focus on Elementary Education (Grades K–6). She now teaches any and all subjects across K–12 and tutors select college-level courses. Group classes are also available by subject. A proud graduate of Stanton College Preparatory School in Jacksonville, Stephanie excels in writing and composition. She was a national winner of the 1988 Parade Magazine Essay Contest and holds a lifetime, invitation-only membership in The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi. This prestigious honor, founded in 1897, recognizes superior scholarship across all disciplines and promotes the unity and democracy of education. Teaching & Tutoring Highlights • Writing & Language Arts: Middle & High School Composition (IEW), elementary Reading & Writing (Spell to Write and Read / SWR), English 101, TOEFL preparation, and beginning reading instruction. • Sciences: Chemistry I, Biology I, Physical Science Laboratory (8th grade), and Apologia General Science with hands-on lab experiments (7th grade). • Test Prep: ACT, SAT, CLEP, ALEKS, TOEFL, FAST, EOC Exams, and the required yearly testing for PEP Scholarship students. • Mathematics: All levels through Algebra and Geometry. • Homeschool Support: Personalized consultations on curriculum choices, Florida homeschool compliance, scholarship options (including Step Up for Students / SUFS / FES-UA / PEP), and nationally normed standardized testing with the Iowa Assessments. Whether guiding a young reader through their first books, preparing a high schooler for college-level work, or helping families navigate homeschooling, Stephanie brings warmth, expertise, and a deep commitment to each student’s success.

Kirk
High School and Early College Math (Algebra - Calculus)

Kirk Beckett brings an engineer's precision and a strategist's patience to every session. With a degree in Electrical Engineering and a Master's in Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College, he tutors math at every level — from Algebra and Geometry through Physics and Calculus — along with virtually anything STEM. Kirk has a gift for breaking intimidating problems into clear, manageable steps, helping students move from "I can't do this" to genuine mastery. And if your student happens to love Military History, he's happy to talk about that too.

Christopher
Tutor

Christopher Beckett is a Computer Science student at Liberty University, where he has earned Dean's List honors and holds memberships in the National Society of Collegiate Scholars (NSCS) and Sigma Beta Delta, the international honor society for business, management, and administration. He graduated high school with a perfect 4.0 GPA while completing 19 credit hours of dual enrollment coursework — also with a 4.0. As a recent student himself, Christopher connects easily with learners and knows firsthand what it takes to excel. He tutors all subjects through high school, with particular strength in math, science, and computer science.
